Colloquium in chemistry

VISAKHAPATNAM: A one-day colloquium in chemistry was organised by Chemistry Department of St. Joseph’s College on Monday. Andhra University Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy was the chief guest at the inaugural session. A.V. Prasada Rao of Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry of AU and P.V. Ramana, Director of the School of Chemistry, AU were guests of honour. Principal Sr. N.D. Veronica presided. In the academic sessions that followed, Prof Prasada Rao spoke on nano materials and nano technology, Prof Subba Rao spoke on ‘Electrode potential and their application’, Prof L.S.A. Dikshitulu spoke ‘Electron transfer reactions’ and Prof A.S.R. Anjaneyulu spoke on ‘Stereo chemistry – organic reactions’. College correspondent Sr. Alice Marie was the chief guest. Former Director of PG Studies of St. Joseph’s College Suguna Kannan was the guest of honour.
