Litterateur passes away

CUTTACK: Litterateur Gangadhar Bal passed away on Monday morning at a private hospital here after brief illness. He was 82 and is survived by wife, five sons and a daughter. He was associated with some of the prestigious colleges of the State. He was cremated at Khan Nagar crematorium in the afternoon.

Born in Jajpur district on August 10, 1927, Prof. Bal began his teaching career from Bhadrak College. He retired as a professor from erstwhile Ravenshaw College in 1985 after working in MPC College in Baripada and FM College in Balasore.
