DIET principal Kemparaje Gowda told The Hindu that the annual training programme was being held to develop leadership skills among headmasters who monitored the quality of education imparted in their respective schools. “The training is given as a step to bring about qualitative development in the standard of education imparted to students,” Mr. Gowda said. He said that resource persons attached to the research unit of the DIET had developed a module with useful content for the headmasters. Training was also being imparted at the taluk level, he said.
