Loan settlement camp

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The loan compromise settlement camp organised by the State Bank of Travancore (SBT) at its head office here on Monday showed good response. Nearly 450 loan defaulters in the city and suburban branches of the bank attended the camp. As many as 260 borrowers settled their dues by availing themselves of the concessions offered by the bank. The bank could settle defaulted loans to the tune of Rs.4.50 crore and recover Rs.61 lakh on the spot. It is planning to hold more similar camps in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts soon. — Special Correspondent
