Remand extended

Kochi: The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday extended till February 22 the judicial remand of the eight accused produced by the police before the court in connection with the Paul M. George murder case.

The prosecution submitted that the other accused could not be produced as they were to be presented in other courts. The court will hear arguments on the petition filed by the CBI seeking custody of the accused later. The CBI took over the investigation following a High Court directive. — Special Correspondent
