Ban on import of chicken from Nepal

Bahraich: With bird flu in neighbouring Nepal, the import of chicken, eggs and other such products from there has been banned in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

District Magistrate R. Saimphil said here on Tuesday that besides a ban on the import of such goods, orders have also been issued to maintain a vigil in the forest as well as residential areas as a precautionary measure.

The ban on import has been imposed for six months, the DM said.
