109 crore for literacy mission

CHANDIGARH: The Union Government has sanctioned Rs. 109.53 crore under Saakshar Bharat Mission-2012 to improve the literacy rate in Haryana, said State Education and Health Minister Geeta Bhukkal on Tuesday.

She said 10 districts with 50 per cent adult female literacy or below would be covered initially. The districts are Gurgaon, Faridabad, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Karnal, Bhiwani and Mohindergarh.
