Five score centuries

BANGALORE: Sunil N. Raju slammed an unbeaten 106 as Friends Union CC beat Jai Hind CC by 60 runs in the YSR Trophy cricket tournament here.

Jawahar Sports Club teams also registered facile wins. Jawahar SC (1) defeated Friends CC (Kolar) by 260 runs with Nitin Bille hammering 174 while Jawahar SC (2) beat Sir Syed CC by 11 runs. Numan hit a century (114) for the winner.

Mayank Agrawal hit 102 and steered Jolly Jawans CC to an eight-wicket victory over Jayachamarajendra CC. Another centurion of the day was Vijay Chavan (165) for Jolly Cricketers, which beat YMCA CC by 214 runs.

The scores: Friends Union CC 306 for five in 50 overs (Abhijit 34, Sawan 43, Sadiq Kirmani 78, Sunil N. Raju 106 n.o.) beat Jai Hind CC (Mysore) 246 in 48.2 overs (Vinay 44, Vijith 27, R. Karthik 35, Prithvi 35 n.o., S.P. Manjunath 26, M. Vinod four for 36).

Jawahar SC (1) 381 for six in 50 overs (Nitin Bille 174, K.C. Avinash 42, Pawan Deshpande 78) beat Friends CC (Kolar) 121 in 29.2 overs (Raghavendra 30, Sunil Kumar three for 37, Shoiab Manager three for 18).

Jayachamarajendra CC 189 for five in 50 overs (M. Clint 65, S. Dheeraj 30) lost to Jawans CC 190 for two in 24.2 overs (S. Nishanth 65, Mayank Agarwal 102).

Merchants CC 106 in 25.5 overs (Iqbal Khan 33, Ryan Ninan four for 27) lost to Social Cricketers 109 for no loss in 15.1 overs (Vijay Karthik 48 n.o., Suraj Sampath 48 n.o.).

Jawahar SC (2) 311 for six in 50 overs (Shashindra 31, Abbas 25, Numan 114, Naresh Reddy 30, Vikram 41) beat Sir Syed CC 197 in 38.4 overs (Darshan 27, Roshan 40, K.P. Rohan four for 53).

Jolly Cricketers 322 for five in 50 overs (Rohith Verma 25, Vijay Chavan 165, Jay Hiremath 59 n.o., Rajesh Kumar three for 72) beat YMCA CC 108 in 26.2 overs (H. Gowda 26, Ranjan four for 38, Vamshidhar three for 19).
