Curbs on vehicles from Panampilly Nagar No parking on road to the south of HDFC building KOCHI: The City Traffic Police are trying out changes at traffic pattern at Manorama Junction on SA Road on an experimental basis to improve the situation there. From now onwards, vehicles coming from Panampilly Nagar will not be allowed between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. to cross at Manorama Junction towards GCDA and Kadavanthra sides. Light, medium and all other smaller vehicles from Panampilly Nagar should take South Bridge Avenue on the south side of Housing Board complex to reach the overbridge, cross it through underpass and take the parallel road on northern side of the overbridge to head towards Kadavanthra. At the same time, heavy vehicles going towards Kadavanthra should turn left from Manorama Junction to take the parallel road on the southern side of the overbridge, cross the bridge using underpass and turn right to head towards Kadavanthra. No parkingTo make this traffic arrangement work effectively, parking will not be allowed on the road to the south of HDFC building, South Bridge Avenue and parallel roads on either side of the overbridge. Vehicles coming from Karshaka Road towards Panampilly Nagar by crossing the overbridge will not be allowed to enter the South Bridge Avenue. These vehicles should take Thoundiyil Road to go to Panamppilly Nagar. Traffic along South Bridge Avenue will be one-way, said a release issued by the City Traffic (West).
