Bangalore: The State Cabinet which met here on Wednesday reportedly withdrew cases registered against political leaders once again and on this occasion the cases pertained to Ministers G. Janardhan Reddy and B. Sriramulu.
The Cabinet has decided to send across a fresh requisition to the Governor on the release of convicts who have served long sentences in prison.
The State budget will be presented to the Legislative Assembly by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on March 5 and the legislature session will commence on February 25 with an address to the joint session by the Governor. The session will fold up on March 26.
