Tripura shocks Bengal
Kolkata: Insipid batting caused Bengal to stumble in its first match of the East Zone inter-state Vijay Hazare one-day match against Tripura at Ravenshaw University ground here on Wednesday.
Asked to bat by Tripura, Bengal was bowled out for 162 in 41.3 overs with wicketkeeper Srivatsa Goswami top scoring with 36.
Tripura, after a confident start, lost its way a bit before coasting home with ten balls to spare and pocketed four points.
The scores: Bengal 162 lost to Tripura 165 for eight.
Assam 117 (R.A. Shukla five for 29) lost to Jharkhand 120 for two. — PTI
