Arsenal fan wins contest
Mumbai: Aby Baby Kuruvilla, 24, an avid Arsenal FC supporter from Bangalore, has been named the best Indian supporter of the English Premier League (EPL) through ‘Barclays Fan of India’ contest. He submitted a video in which he sings passionately about allegiance for the Gunners.
The judging panel, which included MU legends Gary Pallister and Bryan Robson, selected Aby among contestants from 80 cities all over India.
The contest was launched in 2009 with the objective of finding the most fanatical supporter of the Premier League. Apart from Aby’s prize of a VIP trip for two to attend a live Barclays Premier League fixture, runners-up from eight other cities received a EPL team shirt of their choice.
