Three soldiers feared dead in Siachen

SRINAGAR: Three soldiers who went missing in the Siachen area in the Ladakh region after avalanches are feared dead, reports reaching here said. The Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service has also been suspended owing to landslips.

Sources told The Hindu that the three soldiers, two of them from the Ladakh Scouts, went missing after heavy avalanches hit the Siachen area. The Army launched a rescue operation soon after. All the three are feared dead as no contact could be established.
