Big win for Bangalore Blues

BANGALORE: Bangalore Blues kicked off its campaign in the Dowlath Khan memorial knock-out football tournament for C division teams with a thumping 6-0 win over Young Gems at the football stadium here on Friday.

Pratap Kumar opened the account in the 27th minute before Babu (2), Mani, Dinesh and Alexander scored in that order to complete the rout.

In another tie, Mohd. Sporting edged past Young Blues by a solitary goal. Raja netted the match-winner for Sporting in the 50th minute.
