Six killed in road accident

MAHABUBNAGAR: Six persons were killed while six others were critically injured when the seven-seater auto in which they were travelling met with an accident near Palem village on NH 7 in Kothakota mandal on Friday. According to police, the auto, which was proceeding to Kothakota town from Bootpur, was hit by a lorry coming in the opposite direction resulting in the death of six persons around 1 p.m. The lorry was going towards Hyderabad from Kurnool. The injured persons were shifted to Kurnool town and other hospitals in the district.
