Helmet rule to be enforced in Karur

KARUR: Helmet rule comes into force in the district from March 1, according to Superintendent of Police R. Dhinakaran.

Calling upon all two-wheeler riders to wear helmets for their own safety, Dr. Dhinakaran urged the motorists to cooperate with the police in successfully implementing the rule that has been drafted for the safety of the riders. Instructions have been issued to Karur and Kulithalai traffic police wings as also highway patrols in that regard, he added. He has also called upon the two-wheeler riders to consider helmet an essential safety device and not a hindrance to riding.
