PUDUKOTTAI: The Alangudi taluk unit of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees’ Association (TNGEA) in Pudukottai district has urged the Government to implement the Government employees’ health insurance scheme Withdrawal soughtIt also sought withdrawal of the scheme that was handed over to the Star Health and Allied Insurance Company and solve the various problems faced by the Government employees under the scheme. A resolution in this regard was passed at the special executive committee meeting of the taluk held at Alangudi recently under the chairmanship of P.Rajasekar, taluk president of the association. By a resolution, the meeting requested the Government to operate buses from Pudukottai to Peravoorani via Alangudi, Pallathividuthi, Kothamangalam and Keramangalam and from Pudukottai to various destinations including Keeramangalam, Mallipattinam and Pattukottai. The meeting requested the Government to take steps to control price rise and supply all the essential commodities at reasonable price through fair price shops. The association also wanted the Government to regularise the data entry operators working in the Revenue department and fill up the vacancies in various departments in the taluk. TNGEA State executive committee member Rama Ramanathan, and Pudukottai district president K.Jayabalan spoke.
