World Cornea Congress Medal for G.N. Rao

HYDERABAD: Founder-Chairman of L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) Dr. G. N. Rao has been chosen to receive World Cornea Congress Medal for 2010, a press release said.

Dr. Rao will receive the award at World Cornea Congress, being sponsored by International Cornea Society, Boston in April.

Another Scientist and Associate Optometrist of LVPEI, Dr. Shrikant Bharadwaj, has been selected for the Ramalingaswami Fellowship award by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, for the year 2009-10, the release added. Dr. Bharadwaj has a Ph.D in Vision Science from the University of California and post-doctoral fellowship from Indiana University School of Optometry, release informed.
