VISAKHAPATNAM: More patients should utilise the services at the chronic maintenance haemodialysis unit set up at the Super Specialities ward of King George Hospital here, said former Superintendent of the hospital M.V.R.J. Somayajulu on Saturday. The facility with 10 dialysis machines was established under the B Braun Rajiv Arogya Sri health insurance scheme to provide free dialysis to the white card and Arogya Sri card holders. Dr. Somayajulu wanted poor people needing dialysis should be explained about the facility and asked the patients presently undergoing dialysis to spread the news about the state-of-the-art facility. He was speaking at a patients awareness programme organised at the dialysis ward, to mark the completion of 1000 dialysis procedures since it was started in November last.
