Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has started its admission procedure for the 2010-11 academic year. The admission brochures-cum-application forms will be on sale from this Wednesday.
Admission to about 70 academic programmes will be made through 35 common entrance tests (CETs) for about 15,000 students.
CETs will be conducted for IP University’s MBA, MBBS, B.Tech. and MCA programmes in Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhopal, Noida, Jalandhar, Nagpur and Bangalore. For the rest of the courses, entrance examinations will be conducted in Delhi.
The University has designed five admission brochures this year. While one brochure is for admission to professional programmes, another is for engineering and architecture programmes and the third for admission to the MBBS programme. The fourth and fifth brochures are for admission to post-graduate medical programmes and the super speciality medical course.
The admission brochure-cum-application can be obtained from 55 designated branches of Punjab and Sind Bank across the country. Submission of CET application forms and CET fees can be done by visiting http://ipu.admissionhelp.com. The last date for submission of completed application forms for most programmes is April 21 while the last dates for the super speciality medical courses and post graduate medical degree/diploma programmes are June 8 and March 26 respectively.
