Directive to employ cleaner

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Heavy motor vehicles should have a cleaner above 20 years of age and he should be equipped to discharge his work to help the driver, according to rule 368 of the Kerala Motor Vehicles Rules. The Transport Department said here on Wednesday that his duties included helping the driver during dangerous situations and alerting him about vehicles coming behind. It asked all heavy vehicles to observe this rule strictly. — Special Correspondent
