Bail for 13 accused in Shopian case

SRINAGAR: The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar, Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, on Wednesday granted bail to all the 13 accused in the case of alleged rape and murder of two women in Shopian.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had filed a 66-page charge sheet in the case naming the accused.

Lawyers from the Bar Association came up in defence of all the accused.

After the accused recorded their presence before the CJM, the court directed them to produce bail bonds of Rs.10,000 each.

The court asked CBI counsel S.K. Bhat to file any objections by April 17, the next date for hearing.
