20 killed in bus-truck collision

KOLKATA: Twenty people were killed and 24 injured when a bus collided with a truck at Rohatpur in West Bengal’s Uttar Dinajpur district on Thursday.

“The accident happened because the bus suddenly veered to avoid running over a cyclist who was waiting to cross the highway. Unfortunately it went over to the other side of the road and collided with the truck,” Superintendent of Police Milan Kanta Das said.
