All eyes on Yannick, Shivika

KOLKATA: Yannick Nelord of Delhi and Shivika Burman of Bengal will be the top draws in the men's and women's sections in the Central Excise-AITA Open grasscourt tennis, which gets underway here on Monday.

The tournament, sporting an enhanced prize money totalling Rs. 2.5 lakh, has attracted a healthy draw with the likes of Mithun Murali, Ajai Selvaraj (both Tamil Nadu), Shivang Mishra, Ankit Sachdeva (both Delhi) among others sending their entries in the men's section.

The women's section too has names like Treta Bhattacharya (Bengal), Prarthana Pratap (Karnataka), Shweta Kakhandki (Maharashtra).

The tournament will have four events, men's and women's singles and doubles, the finals of which come up on Saturday (Feb. 27). — Principal Correspondent
