NEW DELHI: Actor-producer Aamir Khan on Friday withdrew his resignation from the committee, set up by Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal to bridge the differences between film producers and creative persons over the proposed amendments to the copyright law.

Sibal’s intervention

In his communication to Mr. Sibal, Mr. Khan said he would return to the committee in view of the Minister’s intervention and other committee members reiterating their faith in him.

Altercation with Akhtar

On Wednesday, Mr. Khan walked out of the committee after an altercation with lyricist Javed Akhtar.

Later, Mr. Akhtar, along with six members, sought Mr. Sibal’s intervention in getting Mr. Khan back on board.
