EAMCET applications to be sold from today

GUNTUR: The sale of EAMCET application forms will begin from Monday, Eamcet regional coordinator B. Raveendra Babu said. The test is scheduled to be held on May 30. The last date for submitting the filled-in application forms at the office of regional coordinator, City Centre, RVR & JC College of Engineering at S.V.N Colony main road is April 3. Applications would be accepted with a fine of Rs.500 till April 9, with a fine of Rs.1,000 (April 15), Rs.5,000 (May 10) and Rs.10,000 (May 27). The hall-tickets would be issued from April 30-May 6. Students can collect their hall-tickets by hand at the office in SVN Colony by producing acknowledgment card.

In a press conference held on Sunday, Dr. Raveendra Babu said that application forms would be available at all Head Post Offices, e-seva centres and Andhra Bank counters at Arundelpet, Koretipadu, Patnam Bazaar (Guntur), Mangalagiri, Sattenapalli, Chilakaluripet, Narsaraopet, Tenali, Repalle and Bapatla. In the year 2009, 20, 245 candidates appeared in the Engineering stream while 2,482 appeared in the Medicine stream. Dr. Babu advised the students to submit the filled-in application form along with a DD of Rs.250 at the office of regional coordinator in Guntur so that they would collect the acknowledgment card by hand.
