Man commits suicide

VIJAYAWADA: A 25-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances at a photo studio on Gurunanak Nagar road on Sunday. The victim was identified as Adapala Siva, partner of Gayatri Digital Studio.

According to the Patamata police, Siva was running the studio along with his cousin Durga Rao.

On Sunday evening, Siva sought the studio keys from Durga Rao and told him that he had to deliver some urgent photographs.

Around 7 p.m. one of the customers called Durga Rao on his mobile phone and told him that Siva was not answering the phone. Durga Rao grew suspicious and rushed to the studio, where he saw Siva’s body hanging from the ceiling fan.

In a suicide note addressed to the police, Siva said that he was suffering from health problem and decided to end his life.

The body was sent for a post-mortem.

The Patamata police registered a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
