DCCB linkage for SHGs

VISAKHAPATNAM: A cheque for Rs.305 lakhs towards bank linkage for 92 self-help groups by eight branches of the District Co-operative Central Bank Ltd. was presented to Chief Minister K. Rosaiah by DCCB President Balireddy Satya Rao during the former’s visit to the city on Sunday.

This is in addition to the assistance of Rs. 310 lakhs extended during the financial year to 143 groups.

The target fixed for the bank for the current year is Rs.10 crores.

Mr. Satya Rao expressed confidence that the bank would meet the target by March 31.

Mr. Rosaiah’s Cabinet colleagues Kanna Lakshminarayana, Vatti Vasant Kumarand and P. Balaraju were present.
