Power shutdown begins

KADAPA: A.P. Transco officials announced a daily power cut schedule in Kadapa district from Monday.

Accordingly, there will be power cut from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Kadapa Municipal Corporation limits, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Proddatur, Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula, Rayachoti, Rajampet and Badvel municipalities and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in all the 50 mandal headquarters and under the sub-stations at the mandal level.

Superintending Engineer of A.P. Southern Power Distribution Corporation Lakshminarayana, however, said that there would be no power cut during the nights. He assured seven hours supply to agricultural consumers.

The Superintending Engineering appealed to the industrial and agricultural consumers to draw power only when necessary.
