Leopard kills girl

Dehra Dun: A three-year-old girl was killed by a leopard at Gauchar area of Chamoli district, police said on Monday.

The leopard attacked Chandni Kanwasi on Sunday evening when she was standing with her aunt outside their house.

By the time her aunt raised an alarm and people rushed for help, the leopard had already dragged the girl into the nearby shrubs.

The villagers later recovered Chandni’s half-eaten body from the shrubs.
