BU withholds B.Ed. second semester results of 41 colleges

Audit Committee found academic irregularities and exam malpractices


Reports have been referred to the university’s vigilance officer

Irregularities alleged include giving internal assessment marks without examination


Bangalore: Cracking down on a large number of B. Ed. colleges for allegedly indulging in irregularities and examination malpractices, the Bangalore University has withheld the second semester results of B. Ed examination of the following 41 colleges.

Special Officer (Examinations) N. Shadakshara Swamy said the decision was taken based on the reports of the Academic Audit Committee and the three special squads for practical examinations. These reports have now been referred to retired IPS officer and university’s vigilance officer S. Ramakrishna and further action would be initiated after inquiry report.

No records

He said the irregularities include not conducting classes, non-maintenance of mandatory records and awarding internal assessment marks without conducting examination, among others.
