ACC to launch premium cement in north Andhra

VISAKHAPATNAM: ACC will launch its premium cement designed to fight the corrosive effects of coastal climates in the markets of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam in the next couple of weeks. Announcing this at a media conference here on Friday, director sales of the company Vivek Agnihotri said the special ACC cement for coastal climates outperforms all cements in the region in meeting the concrete durability needs of the climates. ACC would offer the premium cement and services at a premium of a marginal extra of Rs. 5 to Rs.10 per bag over the other brands in the market.

He said ACC had acquired 100 per cent equity in Encore Cement and Additives Ltd., in Viakhapatnam which was a slag grinding plant with a capacity of two lakh tonnes which would be doubled in the course of time. Sales Head for Orissa and Vizag Kalidas Pramanik, and Head Customer Service for East Sandip Das Gupa said along with cement, solutions to all construction problems were being provided by a team of ACC. The company’s executives from Mumbai Vikram Gupta and Dinesh Nair also spoke.
