Pongala: Railways directive to devotees

Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Railways has asked women devotees arriving by train to the capital city on Sunday to offer pongala at Attukal Devi Temple not to travel on footboard and prevent crowding at the foot overbridge at the Thiruvananthapuram Central station. Devotees have been told to give sufficient passage at the entry and exit points of the station for free movement of other commuters. The Railways also warned devotees against travelling on the rooftop of trains as the section has electrified traction.
