The accused, an unemployed man scales wall, reaches runway NEW DELHI: In a case of security breach at Indira Gandhi International Airport here, a 29-year-old unemployed man was found loitering about naked near a runway on Friday night. He was arrested on the charge of criminal trespass. The accused, identified as Arun Rai, entered the airport premises by scaling the perimeter wall near Gate No. 20. He was spotted near runway 29 around 8 p.m., following which a scheduled landing of a domestic flight from Hyderabad had to be aborted by Air Traffic Control. The intruder was detained and after preliminary questioning handed over to the airport police. Enquiries by the police revealed that he was unemployed and had been living with his parents in neighbouring Gurgaon. After verification of his antecedents, the police registered a case of criminal trespass. Central Industrial Security Force spokesperson Rohit Katiyar on Saturday said a high-level inquiry has been ordered into the security breach and appropriateaction would be taken against whoever is found responsible.
