Two arrested in chit fund case

CUTTACK: The Orissa crime branch police on Saturday arrested two persons in Mumbai in connection with Rs 500 crore multi-level marketing scam of Balasore.

A senior crime branch police here on the day confirmed that the police team from the State led by crime branch DSP P K Panda arrested the duo and they were produced before a local court in Mumbai seeking transit remand of the accused.

According to sources, Namdev Naulei (35) and Rajendra Sindhe (37), both directors of Trident financial company were arrested from Jogeswary area of Mumbai and they were produced before a Bandra court.

Crime branch police team which is probing the multi-crore scam said Trident financial company was one of the fly-by-night companies which had swindled hundreds of people in Balasore district.
