Veerendrakumar’s poser to Pinarayi

Special Correspondent

Kozhikode: M.P. Veerendrakumar, Janata Dal (S) leader, has alleged that CPI(M) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan is speaking only about encroachments of land in Wayanad and is turning a blind eye to Idukki where “CPI(M) leaders have in their illegal possession land worth crores of rupees.”

In a statement here on Saturday, Mr. Veerendrakumar, the property of whose son, M.V. Sreyamskumar, MLA, was encroached upon recently by tribal people, said he could cite several cases of encroachment of large tracts of land in Idukki. There was even a report filed in the High Court by an earlier District Collector of Idukki indicating large-scale encroachments.

If Mr. Sreyamskumar had forged documents to establish rights over land as had been alleged, it could be recovered from him by legal means, he said.
