Ramadoss’ appeal to government
CHENNAI: PMK leader S. Ramadoss on Saturday urged the government to release Rs. 5 lakh each to the families of the workers who were killed in a landslide in a quarry in Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement here, Dr. Ramadoss said some of the victims were from Vanoor, Thailapuram, Elavanpattu and Kunnor in Villupuram district. He also wanted the government to make arrangements to bring the bodies to their villages.
Dr. Ramadoss said the government should get adequate compensation to the victims’ families from the quarry owners and the Andhra Pradesh government. — Special Correspondent
