Governor, Rosaiah greet people on Holi

HYDERABAD: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Rosaiah greeted people on the occasion of Holi.

In a message, the Governor said, “The celebration of Holi throughout the country speaks volumes about national integration. On this joyous occasion, I convey my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State.”

The Chief Minister described Holi as a ‘colourful festival of goodwill and kinship. It symbolised the triumph of good over evil and was celebrated by the people irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. Holi strengthens the secular fabric of the nation and fosters unity, fraternity, joy, happiness and togetherness of people’. He was confident that the spirit of Holi would inspire their lives and bring prosperity to the people.

Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi also greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Holi.

Mr. Naidu wished that the traditional festival would usher in happiness for people. Mr. Chiranjeevi recalled that the tradition of celebrating the Holi festival existed for ages.
