Man killed in accident

VIJAYAWADA: A 35-year-old man was killed in a road accident near Sairam theatre in Kothapet on Wednesday. The Two-Town police identified the victim as Srinu, a mason, who migrated recently from Narsampet to the city and was residing near Kotturu-Tadepalli road. The accident occurred when Srinu was crossing the road near Sairam theatre. A city service of the hit him, killing him on the spot.

2 die in hospital

Two persons died in separate incidents in the city on Wednesday. According to the Machavaram police, Potturu Nagendra Prasad, 26 was found unconscious near Gandhi Bomma centre at Giripuram. His cousin Seelam Sudheer Babu rushed him to the Government General Hospital, where Nagendra Prasad died while undergoing treatment. In another incident, 26-year-old Suri Babu, a carpenter of Maramvari Veedhi in Machavaram, was spotted in an unconscious state by his maternal uncle Jala Chintayya near Anjaneya Swamy temple at Machavaram. Suri Babu was rushed to the GGH, where he died while undergoing treatment.
