Samson Classic on March 12, 13

Mumbai: The Samson Classic 2010, featuring the 40 top body-builders from 22 States, will be held here on March 12 and 13.

The winner will get Rs. one lakh and a Hero Honda motorcycle and the runner-up Rs. 90,000 and a plasma television. The second runner-up will receive Rs. 80,000 and a home theatre system.

Penkar's Health Club will organise the event at the Sher-e-Punjab Gymkhana ground at Goregaon.

Viju Penkar, President, Maharashtra State Body-Building Association, said the event would cost Rs. 20 lakh and the prize money would be Rs. five lakh.

Chetan Pathare, Associate Secretary, Indian Body-Building Federation (IBBF), said the Samson Classic would be the selection trial to pick the Indian team for the Mr. Universe event in Miami on June 8 and 9. — Special Correspondent
