Welfare measure for retired police personnel

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: In a bid to provide opportunity to retired police personnel and ministerial staff to get re-employment in private organisations, the details of those retired from service have been published on the police website www.tnpolice.gov.in. According to a press release, the initiative was a welfare measure to benefit police personnel who retired in the rank of Superintendent of Police or below (down to the rank of police constable). In the case of ministerial staff, the rank would be from Chief Administrative Officer to Office Assistants.

The details have been restricted to those who retired after 1.1.2006 and not crossed the age of 65 years.
