Loans proposed for differently abled persons in Villupuram

The beneficiaries should have 40 per cent disability and be in the 18-60 age group

VILLUPURAM: It has been proposed to give away loans up to Rs 50,000 to differently abled persons through the Villupuram District Central Cooperative Bank, according to R. Palanisamy, Collector.

In a statement released here on Thursday, he said that the beneficiaries should have 40 per cent disability and be in the 18-60 age group. For those hailing from rural areas, annual income of the family should not exceed Rs. 1.6 lakh and for those from the urban areas, not more than Rs. 2 lakh.

Those who seek a loan of up to Rs. 25,000 should get a government employee as guarantor and those who seek loans above Rs. 25,000 and up to Rs. 50,000 should get two government employees as guarantors.

Special camps

Those who fulfil these criteria should attend the special camps being organised at the following places at 10 a.m. with their disability identity cards, residential proofs and income details.

The residents of Kallakurichi and Sankarapuram should be present on the Kallakurichi Agirucltural Producers and Marketing Cooperative Society premises on March 9.

Thirukkoilur and Ulundurpet residents should report at the Thirukkoilur Central Cooperative Bank on March 10; Ginjee and Tindivanam residents should go to the Ginjee Central Cooperative Bank on March 11, and Villupuram and Vanur residents should be present at the Village Central Cooperative Bank on March 12.
