‘Padi Vizha' at Tirupati on April 20

VELLORE: The Tirumala Tirupati Steps Festival Trust, Arcot, will be organising the 41st ‘Padi Vizha' on April 20 when bhajan groups from different parts of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring States will gather at Tirupati and begin the festival of climbing the seven hills to reach Tirumala.

A resolution was adopted at a special meeting of office-bearers of bhajan groups participating in the festival, which was held under the presidentship of A.C. Narasimhan, founder and general secretary of the trust, recently. The meeting also decided to supply harmoniums at 50 per cent concession price to the bhajan groups, and invite the officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam for the festival.
