Basketball
KOCHI: The five-day basketball clinic for coaches, led by national coach Aleksander Bucan, began at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here on Sunday. Nearly 80 coaches, both professional and amateur, turned up for the clinic. Apart from Serbian Bucan's sessions, international Vineeth Ravi Mathew shared his experience with the coaches and also assisted the national coach while demonstrating co-ordination workouts. The St. Xavier's College basketballers from Aluva also helped during the practical sessions. T.P. Dasan, the Kerala State Sports Council President, inaugurated the clinic at a function presided over by P.J. Sunny, the Chairman of the Basketball Federation of India's Selection Committee. — Principal Correspondent
