Corporators leave on study tour

VISAKHAPATNAM: A team of 47 corporators and four officials and 12 employees of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation on Sunday left on a 12-day study tour of Bangalore, Mysore, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.

Of the corporators, 25 belong to Congress and the remaining to the TDP.

They include 20 women. Corporators of CPI and CPI(M), however, stayed away from the tour considering it a wasteful expenditure.
