St. Joseph's wins chess title

CHENNAI: Host St. Joseph's College of Engineering clinched the chess title in the women's tournaments of the JETS 2010, sports festival here on Sunday.

St. Joseph's garnered 16 points to take the top spot followed by MIT (11 points) and Sathyabama (9).

Shivam, Vivek shine

An unbeaten 65 off 31 balls with 11 boundaries by Shivam Kislay and a four-wicket haul by spinner S. Vivek were the highlights of St. John's International Residential School's 129-run win over S.J.T. Surana Jain Vidyalaya in the quarterfinals of the Jai Krishna Memorial State-level under-14 cricket tournament being held here.
