PALAKKAD: The Palakkad Indoor Stadium Society on Wednesday decided to award the civil work of the Rs.13.25-crore stadium to Perfect Engineers. The work will start in the second week of April and will be completed in 15 months. The stadium is being constructed on a 1.94-acre plot on 100 Feet Road near Government Victoria College here. There will be facilities for volleyball, basketball, handball, shuttle badminton, ball badminton, etc. The stadium will have a 5,000-seat auditorium and parking space for 100 cars. There will be a luxury rest house with four rooms and another seven rooms for sportspersons.
