Police launch hunt for abductors analysing the phone calls made by them Neelesh's family members suspect erstwhile business partners' role HYDERABAD: Unidentified persons had abducted a private company employee, Neelesh of Balramnagar in Neredmet, on Wednesday night demanding a ransom of Rs. 25 lakh for his release. The kidnappers had set a deadline of 4 p.m. on Thursday to secure release of the abducted person. However, they did not call up again even as special police teams launched a hunt for the abductors analysing the phone calls made by them. A MBA degree holder, Neelesh goes to his office in Secunderabad daily at 10.30 a.m. and returns by evening. As usual, he left for his office in the morning on Wednesday. In the evening, he rang up his family members stating that he would come home late but did not turn up. Around 2.15 a.m. on Thursday, Neelesh called up his father from his mobile phone. “Some persons had kidnapped and are beating up me. They want Rs. 25 lakh ransom for my release,” Neelesh told his father over phone. Speaking from the same phone, the abductors reportedly threaten to kill Neelesh if the amount was not paid as demanded and hung up. Neelesh's family members are suspecting if his erstwhile business partners with whom he had developed differences over monetary matters were behind the kidnap.
