Two shot dead in Manipur

IMPHAL: Two persons were shot dead and another wounded in separate incidents in Manipur.

In another case, a hand grenade was lobbed at a house at Khetrigao in Imphal East district. However, it failed to explode and was neutralised by a bomb disposal squad.

According to police reports, troopers of 28 Assam Rifles shot dead one suspected militant in a pre-dawn encounter in Imphal East district. In another incident, a man was found dead, with bullet marks, in Thoubal district on Friday morning.
