The four were Additional Collector Shravan Sai, Executive Engineer S. Bhengra, Dairy Department officer A. K. Sinha and an assistant engineer.

In a similar incident, a supervisor and three labourers were on Saturday set free in Gumla, a day after they were abducted by naxaltes in neighbouring Simdega district.
